Be Engaged. Be Mobile.

We all live crazy busy lives. That is the #1 reason women say they cannot be involved in their local alumnae association. And why shouldn't you be? Everyday you do amazing things! Many of those thing you do without thinking; workshops to buy homes, vote, charity runs, check out a theater show, pay your DPhiE alumna dues.

Did you know those are all things that count to make you an active, engaged alumna? It's true!

The Cream City Alumnae Association wants to be there when you are doing all these amazing things. Introducing our new mobile app: CreamCityDPhiE

The app is easy to download just follow these steps:

1. Go to myapp.is/CreamCityDPhiE in your smartphone or tablet's browser.

2. Tap the export button and then "Add to Home Screen". Done!

The app features news of the chapter, events we having and links to our Facebook and website. The most notable feature the app has is our PEARL tracker.

Remember the PEARL program? The 5 S's (Self, Service, Social, Sisterhood, Scholarship) guided us through our undergraduate sorority experience. The 5 C's are the alumnae extension (Character, Civic, Cultural, Connection, Career) to the PEARL program.

The PEARL tracker allows members to add their pearls as they complete them. Just pick the category and add.

An email of your pearl is sent to our team for tracking.

Not sure what your activity qualifies for? Look below the submission form and examples of each are listed.

We hope this gives you helpful guide in how to live through your expectations of alumnae membership.

Crafts and Cocktails

Our first event of the new year, Crafts and Cocktails, was a great success, with over half of our membership in attendance. The women of the Cream City Alumnae Association tackled two crafts for the evening; an acrylic painting of their choice and a Pinterest washer necklace.

Here are the individual painting creations.

Unfortunately, only two of the necklaces were successful... Still look nice though!

Erin Fossum with her "hot air balloon" painting.

Tracy Hempel with her color blotch painting. It's as colorful as she is!

Katie Farchmin was super exciting for her first attempt ever at painting. Did a great job too! She was so inspired she bought a set of paints for herself the next day.

Slightly obsessed with chevron and her dog, Maureen Anderson combined the two a contemporary piece.

Overall, a great night for all members who attended.

Kick-Off With DPhiE

Time to re-dedicate yourself to your sisterhood! The Cream City Alumnae Association is looking for you! Yes, YOU!

Common questions about alumnae associations and alumnae membership in general:

1. I'm very busy with work, family and other obligations. How much time do Alumnae Associations take?

We all have obligations in our busy lives. We want to take a little time to fulfill our live long obligation to Delta Phi Epsilon, an organization that gave us so much in becoming the women we are today. We have monthly meetings on the last Thursday of every month that take approximately an hour of your time. We may have other service or social events. All events are not mandatory. If you have a prior engagement, feel free to just come the next time. Meetings are informal and usually include an activity or topic of the month.

If you have a little more time, feel free to ask about our Alumnae Leadership Team, heading up an event or volunteering for International Headquarters.

2. I am looking to get back out there and do something for myself. What types of activities does Alumnae Membership offer?

What do you like to do?! Even though you may not be an undergraduate sister anymore, it's still important to continue to educate yourself and Be Your Best Self. In the last few decades, during New Member Orientation as an undergraduate sister of Delta Phi Epsilon, you were taught the 5 S's. After graduation, it may have seemed daunting to continue your 21 PEARLs.

Enter the 5 C's: Character, Civic, Cultural, Connections, and Career. These 5 core areas better align with alumnae membership and what you're looking to develop in yourself as a professional and more mature sister.

3. Since I graduated, I do not hang out with many sisters and have my own friends. Why do I need DPhiE now?

One of the great things about "sisterhood is a lifetime" is that you can rededicate yourself to something you were passionate about. You can also share your sisterhood with your friends. Bring them to our meetings and events. If they like what they see (and why shouldn't they?), they can petition to become Alumnae Initiates and have the full rights of any alumna sister.

4. What are the costs of membership?

Unlike our active days, membership cost of the Cream City Alumnae Association membership is a low, annual fee of $40. Of that money, $19.17 goes to pay your annual international dues and $20.83 goes to pay local administrative costs, event fees and registration costs for our voting member at the biennial convention. If you are a Lifetime Link and have already paid your $250, your cost is only the $20.83.

Interested in the CCAA but still haven't made it to check us out? Come to our Alumnae Association Official "Kick-Off" Event!
